1) Alibag Beach :
Alibaug beach is located 2 km from the city centre and 1 km from the local bus station of Alibaug. The local transport is well-developed in Alibaug; you can take a bus, auto-rickshaw or taxi to reach the Alibaug beach.
2) Kulaba Fort :
The Fort can be easily accessed from the city of Mumbai, as it is located only 35 km south of Mumbai. Mumbai, one of the biggest cities of India, is well connected via airways, railways and roadways to all the major cities in the country and abroad.
Kolaba Fort can also be approached by foot during low tides and by boat during high tides from the Alibag Beach. The Siddhivinayak temple inside the fort was built by Raghoji Angre in 1759.
3) Varsoli Beach :
Varsoli beach is one of the least visited beaches of Alibaug. Located 3 km from the Alibuag main bus stand; Varsoli beach is easily accessible by public transport. You can take an auto-rickshaw, bus or taxi to Varsoli beach.
4) Mandwa Beach :
At a distance of 13 km from Kihim Beach, 19 km from Alibaug, Mandwa Beach is a scenic beach situated at Mandwa village in Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is a popular weekend beach destination from Mumbai city. Regular ferries are available from the Gateway of India to Mandwa jetty to reach the beach.
5) Nagaon Beach :
Nagaon is located 9 km from Alibaug. You can take a taxi, auto-rickshaw or hire a private taxi from Alibaug to reach Nagaon. The public transport in Alibaug is well-developed and you can easily catch a public transport to reach Nagaon beach.
6) Revdanda Beach :
At a distance of 5 km from Korlai, 18 km from Alibaug and 15 km from Kashid, Revdanda Fort is an ancient Portuguese fort located at Revdanda in Raigad district of Maharashtra. The fort is located at the mouth of the Kundalika River.
Revdanda Fort, also known as Revdanda Aagarkot, was built by Portuguese Captain Soj in 1558 CE. In 1740 CE, Revdanda along with the Korlai Fort came under Maratha kingdom as per the treaty signed by the Portuguese. Angres defeated the fort in 1817 CE but it came under the British Raj in 1818 AD.
7) Birla Mandir :
20 Km from Alibaug on the Alibaug – Roha route near the Salav village is the beautiful ‘Birla Mandir’. Ganesha is the main deity of the temple with ‘Riddhi and Siddhi’ on its either sides. Also there are small temples of ‘Radha-Krishna’, ‘Shiv-Parvati’ and ‘Suryadeva’ in the Birla mandir. Aarti at Birla temple is at 9.00 am and 7.00 pm every day.
8) Korlai Fort & lighthouse :
At a distance of 5 km from Revdanda, 12 km from Kashid Beach, and 22 km from Alibaug, Korlai Fort is a Portuguese fort situated at Korlai in Raigad district of Maharashtra. It is one of the best places of sightseeing in Alibag and also one of the popular historical places near Mumbai. Tourists have to trek 2 km from the Korlai village through rugged grassland to reach the Korlai Fort, as there is no proper road.
9) Kashid Beach :
Located almost 30 km from Alibaug and situated on the coasts of Arabian Sea, Kashid Beach is famous for its beautiful clear blue water, white colour sand and lovely streams. 125 km from Mumbai is where you’ll find a quaint paradise called Kashid Beach.
Roha Railway Station is the nearest railway station from Kashid Beach, located at a distance of 50 km. This station is well connected with Konkan line.
10) Murud Janjira Fort :
At a distance of 5 km from Murud, 21 km from Diveagar, 53 km from Alibaug, 84 km from Raigad Fort, 170 km from Mumbai, and 162 km from Pune, Murud – Janjira is an island fort situated near Murud in Raigad district of Maharashtra.
